The Best Foot Spas in 2021: Post-Lockdown Life UK Edition [Updated]

Louise Stamford, Editor

What could be better after a long day than popping your tootsies into hot, bubbling water, while jets and rollers help massage and relax your feet? Gone are the days that such experiences were confined to a trip to a beauty salon; you can now pick up a foot spa for home use at a fraction of the cost of regular treatments.

The only downside is that some are pretty poor. In fact, we tested models that were frankly no better than using a bucket, while others actually inflicted pain in their attempt to manipulate key pressure points on the feet. We also came across foot spas that worked for a while, but then simply gave up the ghost. Thankfully, we’ve put together the top 5 models you can order online today.

Overall 2021 Winner:

Where to buy the Healthline Foot Spa Pro in the UK

The best foot spa for comfort, ease of use, and price point come from a brand that has only been around for a few years in the UK. But don’t let that scare you off, as this luxury foot massage unit is easily one of the best we have ever tested. It provided like for like performance against spas costing three times as much, proving you don’t have to pay silly prices to get an amazing experience from the comfort of your own home.

So what makes the Healthline Pro the best all around foot spa?

The best foot spa for home use, period. The Healthline Foot Spa Pro was designed from the ground up to be the most comfortable and easy to use foot spa device for the home.  The Healthline spa is ergonomically designed for maximum comfort. It offers five temperature levels and treatment timer for a spa experience like no other.

Bubble and vibration massage helps with deep cleaning and soaking of the feet and ankle joints.  It also offers a refloxology massage settings which can target individual parts of the foot.  The feeling of this machine compared to the rest on the list is like no other – easily the best bang for your buck.

Taking care of your feet. With all the punishment that your feet take, it’s important to keep them healthy. They get sore and tired. They get crampy and stiff. They can swell, sweat and ache. That’s where a foot spa massage comes in.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Healthline is now available with £50 off this month (while stocks last)  Healthline have knocked £50 off their normal price of £109.99 bringing the massager to just £59.99 at the time of writing.

UK-based customer support. We have been continuously disappointed with luxury foot massagers in the past, even from medical giants like Philipps. Part of that disappointment comes with poor or absent customer service. We tested Healthline on several occasions with questions and every time received proper replies within an hour. That demonstrates commitment to the UK market and contributes greatly to our award of Editor’s Pick.

3. Beurer FB50: Home foot spa unit that lives up to the Beurer name.  £117.99 at

3. Guisee Foot Spa Bath: A great device from a new brand.  £340 at

Beurer FB500: Luxury spa massager but a little pricey £117.99 at

Where to buy the Beurer FB50 in the UK

Buffing away corns, callouses and hard skin is easy because there are three interchangeable pedicure attachments. You can do this is one of two ways – either by soaking your feet in warm water which will help to soften skin or by using the foot bath without water. For added luxury and comfort the Beurer FB50 Relax Foot Bath has five heat settings – so you can select one that is perfect for you – and time your treatment too!

This foot spa’s sleek and sophisticated LED display and touch control pad allows you to select massage function, treatment time and temperature with ease. It has a splash guard to protect against spills, non-slip rubber feet and a cord winder for easy storage.

Why the FB50 makes the list of the best foot spas in the UK

Good overall quality from trusted brand. Beurer have been in the business for a long time and produce some of the highest grade health equipment you can find.  The FB50 is a great home massage unit but we found the device a little complicated to setup, given it has so many options.

Excellent marks for comfort. The price is high for a reason, an extremely comforting device which gives a great massage feeling to the souls of your feet. A lot of research and development has clearly gone into this device, we just can’t help but wonder if the higher price point is relevant when the Healthline feels just as good.

Can be overwhelmind to setup. There’s no doubt this device has the most settings and options, and some people will love this.  The way they have all been implemented can feel overwhelming to set the device up and how you like it.  Sometimes in our opinion, simpler can be better.

Guisee Foot Spa Bath Massager Foot Massager – £340 at

Our Rating:

Where to buy the Guisee foot spa in the UK

If you’re not price sensitive, then this ultra luxry which does it all may be right up your street.  With a plethora of settings from kneading massages to accurpuncture point therapy, this is the foot spa which does it all.  The guisee foot spa rated highly in all of our tests, the only downside is the price.

Why Homedics gets our approval for the home

Great comfort that comes at a cost. While Guisee has engineered a product that is indeed worthy for home use, it does come at a cost. The sheer amount of options this thing does is incredible, but we can’t help but feel most customers wont use half of these settings, and would be better off with one of our cheaper picks as they do the basics perfectly well.

Easy to use. After a quick read of their quick start guide, you’ll know exactly what to do and how you’ll want to enjoy your foot massage.  We feel ease of use is an important feature customers should be looking for, and Guisee gets this point just right.

Built for home use.  Guisee foot spa is a device built from the ground up to suit foot massagers from customers homes.  Easy to setup with a good kneading technique and heat applicances.  A relatively new contender into this space but so far we’ve been impressed with their device.  They sometimes run discounts, if you can get the device on a discount even better because the price point is extremely high.

Runners-up: Best Foot Spas

There are many, many home based foot spas in the UK market. And while we attempt to test as many as possible for our readers, some units simply don’t make the cut. Here’s a quick peek at devices that didn’t make the list.

HoMedics Bubble Mate Foot Spa – £39.99 at

Our Rating:

While we’d always recommend the other entrants on the list first, if money is tight then this is a great budget option, just limited to many of the features we’ve come to expect from a foot spa. The Bubblemate Foot Spa is designed for overworked feet, this foot spa comes with invigorating bubble strips which deliver a soothing spa making it a luxurious way to relax and bring life to your feet. Equipped with features including bubble-turbo strips, pedicure attachment, removable pumice stone to smooth and soften rough skin. The jets are lacking we feel, but at this price point it’s certainly not a bad deal.

Art Naturals sit back foot spa  – £59 at

Our Rating:

Never hearing of this brand but having a few recommendations for it we gave it the usual testing we always do here at Health and Living.  Sadly this did not meet our expectations and seemed to feel quite cheap and plasticy.  It has limited functions and the rollers and jets are simply not powerful enough to give a good experience.
